Business CDs

A fixed-term deposit for business money you know you will not need for a while.

How a term deposit works

You agree an amount and a term. The money stays put for that period and earns at the rate agreed when you opened it. At the end of the term you take the money and what it earned, or agree a new term.

Taking money out before the term ends normally costs you some of what it earned. We will tell you exactly what that penalty is before you commit, not after.

Terms and rates

We do not run a published rate card for term deposits. The rate depends on the amount and the length of the term, and on what rates are doing generally.

Tell us the amount and roughly how long you want to tie it up, and we will quote you in writing.

Before you commit

Ask us for the full terms in writing: the rate, the term, what happens at maturity, and the early-withdrawal penalty. Do not open one on the strength of a number on a web page — including this one.

Grenville Crest is not a chartered bank. A term deposit here is a contract with us, not a government-insured bank deposit. That is a real difference and you should price it in.
